Content Repository Interface for Alfresco™
The integration enables documents to simply be stored in, and retrieved from Swarm using the standard Alfresco interfaces. In its initial implementation, the Alfresco Swarm Interface supports the usage of Swarm as an Alfresco content repository and an archive for storing and retaining regulated and immutable documents/content over the long-term.
XeniT created the Alfresco Swarm Interface to address requirements from its clients. The combined solution is currently implemented at one of the largest companies in the insurance sector in Belgium. The company started using Alfresco-Caringo solution to manage and store 4.5 million documents and has reached 11 million documents. The company is efficiently scanning and storing between 15,000 to 40,000 pages per day with an average of 200,000 documents per month and growing. The interface was submitted as open source to Alfresco Forge and XeniT will continue to provide on-going support.
