Using Elasticsearch with Object Storage

Elasticsearch is a distributed, RESTful search and analytics engine that can be used with object storage to enhance metadata searching operations. Attend our July 16 Tech Tuesday webinar to:

  • Learrn what Elasticsearch is and the benefit of using it with object storage

  • Hear about best practices for using Elasticsearch with object storage

  • See a live demonstration of Elasticsearch with Caringo Swarm

  • Have expert Caringo engineers answer your questions about Elasticsearch

Using Elasticsearch with Object Storage

Swarm Pro Tip: How to Determine Where an Object was Created

Have you ever wondered which Swarm storage cluster an object was originally written to? Swarm populates the Castor-System-Cluster header on objects to permanently hold the value of the cluster name where it was created. Inspecting this header value on a sample of objects can prove handy when you need to debug site-to-site replication, track origin of objects when volumes are moved to servers in different clusters, etc.
