In just 8 short months at Caringo, I’ve knocked a lot of items off of my professional bucket list. My favorite to date absolutely is Tech Field Day! Tech Field Day is an event that brings together independent influencers (bloggers, analysts, podcasters, etc.) and tech companies. As a sponsor of Tech Field Day 10 (#TFD10), we had the pleasure of hosting an afternoon of this multi-day event at our Caringo headquarters in the northwest hills of Austin, TX on February 3.
I wanted to share some of the videos with you over the next few weeks, so you can get a taste for the event and insight not only into Caringo’s products, but into the people behind the products. (Speaking of taste, my apologies for the tempting homemade cookies in the background of these videos!) I’m constantly referring to people as “one of my favorite colleagues,” but it is hard to choose just one. The Caringo culture is one where we work hard and play hard, but above all, we put our customers first. This is reflected in everything that we do and everyone that works at the company.
So, meet one of my favorite colleagues, who joined Caringo about the same time that I did: Tony Barbagallo, our VP of Product. Here is Tony giving a brief overview of the company and our masthead product Swarm object storage.
Now that you know about our object storage, you might be wondering, “how can I transfer files from my overcrowded primary storage into Swarm so I can benefit from these cost savings and efficiencies?” The answer is simple…FileFly (no, not FireFly…FileFly). Here, Tony talks about how FileFly can seamlessly move files off of overloaded NetApp and Windows File Servers and move them into Swarm, so our customers can get all the benefits of searchable storage for the cloud age.
Watch for more Tech Field Day content featuring our object storage experts (including an appearance by our own Jean Luc Picard impersonator and Chief Architect). In the meantime, if you have questions, feel free to email us at info@Caringo.com or connect with us via Twitter or LinkedIn. You can also join us for one of our upcoming webinars:
