Moonwalk for Caringo CAStor software delivers data management with metadata-level precision for all information on network storage, servers and clients. It proactively migrates, copies and moves data according to user-defined rules and policies based on criteria such as age, size, file type, file name, file creator and many more granular classification rules. Moonwalk operates across and between all major file systems, including Windows, UNIX, Linux and Netware environments, and all primary and secondary storage environments. Transparent Content Migration Solution
The Moonwalk-CAStor integrated solution provides a transparent migration path to customers using EMC® Centera®, NetApp™, Isilon® as well as NFS, CIFS and Netware® file systems. Moonwalk can transparently migrate data from the incumbent disk system to a CAStor implementation either on a customer premise or to the cloud. Together Moonwalk and Caringo offer a single, end-to-end solution to easily swap out existing storage and optimize overall storage for greater efficiency, while data is transparently migrated to CAStor where it is protected and retained.
